To educate the youngest about the importance of energy efficiency and create healthy habits from childhood, the superhero Beepster visited our planet, more precisely 12 elementary schools in Bosnia and Herzegovina. After learning that the Energy Efficiency Project for Bosnia and Herzegovina (BEEP) continued with education for the youngest, and aware of the fact that the education of young minds is a multi-useful investment of knowledge and time, Beepster decided to personally talk to the children and give them this approaches the topic in its way. In his super suit with his super fun and educational equipment, he talked to fifth and sixth graders about the importance of conserving energy and nature.

“The time we live in is marked by the green transition, the desire to preserve water and air quality, energy efficiency and renewable energy sources, recycling, and generally responsible use of resources to prevent climate change. If we want to contribute to a better future for our society, environmental awareness should be high on our priority list, and this is achieved through education. We are convinced that education and investing in young people is the best investment in a better tomorrow.”- pointed out Jasmina Katica, Head of the Department for Energy Efficiency in the Federal Ministry of Spatial Planning of the FBiH.
In the previous few months, at the Beepster workshops, 450 students had the opportunity to watch an animated film about climate change, and learn more about the Beepomat, a device that illustrates in a simple way how the irrational use of energy from fossil fuels leads to global warming.
The workshops were held in Vareš, Breza, Visoko, Maglaj, Jelah and Zenica, and are part of the Energy Efficiency Project for Bosnia and Herzegovina (BEEP), which is being implemented by the Federal Ministry of Spatial Planning with the assistance of the loans from the World Bank.
With a unique approach, this superhero told the students that our only home can be more beautiful, cleaner and greener, only through their commitment, to implementing energy efficiency measures in the performance of daily activities, in which even the youngest, who are the future of the planet, can participate.
