The superhero Beepster found his allies in the preservation of our planet in the students of the “Mula Mustafa Baseskija” elementary school in Visoko. Namely, with the aim of saving the Planet and educating the youngest about the importance of energy-efficient behaviour, the superhero Beepster visited this elementary school where he reminded the students in an educational and entertaining way about the importance of smart energy use.
Carbon dioxide (CO2) allows the atmosphere to retain part of the solar radiation and heat, thus preventing the cooling of the Earth and the radiation of heat into space. Due to the excessive burning of fossil fuels, which are used to obtain energy, too much carbon dioxide is released, which leads to global warming.
“Your planet is suffering!” – said the Beepster, and called on the students, little heroes, to save it from global warming, which significantly affects the future of the Earth and its inhabitants. The schoolchildren took their task seriously and promised Beepster that they would help him in his mission.
“It is necessary to make children aware and educated about the importance of preserving a healthy environment in time so that the understanding of issues of environmental protection and energy efficiency takes its place in society.” – said the Beepster.
Beepster used its super-fun and super-educational equipment, one of which is the Beepomat, a device that demonstrates energy-efficient behaviours. Also, Beepster introduced the students to the superthermal imaging camera, which shows how much energy is lost in the case of devices that are connected to electricity, during standby mode. The students were also shown an animated film about climate change on Earth and ways to use energy wisely.
In the primary school “Mula Mustafa Bašeskija” in Visoko, thanks to the BEEP AF project, energy efficiency measures such as thermal insulation of facade walls were implemented; thermal insulation of the ceiling; thermal insulation and replacement of the cover of the sports hall; replacement of part of the existing carpentry and/or locksmithing; partial replacement of lighting fixtures; installation of dynamic thermostatic valves; installation of equipment for measuring energy consumption; installation of temperature and humidity monitoring equipment. The area covered by the project is 2,378 m2, and the amount of the investment was 449,503.81 BAM.
The superhero Beepster left the elementary school “Mula Mustafa Bašeskija” in Visoko, satisfied with the work done, and headed for the next destination.
