Renovated primary school “Zahid Barucija“ Vogosca officially opened

A ceremonial ribbon cutting ceremony was organized for the opening of the newly renovated primary school “Zahid Barucija“ in Vogosca, as a part of the largest energy efficiency project in Bosnia and Herzegovina – BEEP.

 

The implementation of energy efficiency measures involved the insulation of the facade, replacement of windows, reconstruction of the flat roof with added thermal insulation, replacement of ventilation openings, installation of daylight sensors as well as cleaning of heaters in the gym.

 

After an intensive three months of work, the implemented energy efficiency measures have enabled better working conditions for all students and their teachers. The value of the energy efficiency investments amounts to over 250,000 BAM.

 

On this occasion, Mr. Mustafa Copelj, Federation of BiH BEEP Project Manager, noted that the energy efficiency measures implemented in this school provide a more comfortable environment for teaching and save energy. “The object already offers a better and more comfortable environment for work and studying, and in the next months we also expect significant savings on energy bills.” – stated Copelj.

 

The BEEP Project, which plans to renovate 50 public buildings in the Federation of BiH, is implemented with the financial support of the World Bank
